07/20/24 – 5:45 PM: Repairs have now been completed on the additional circuits that were impacted. Full connectivity has now been restored.
07/20/24 – 4:15 PM: Partial connectivity has been restored as one of the carriers has repaired their fiber break. Full capacity will return once another carrier completes its repairs, though we don’t have an estimated repair time yet.
07/20/24 – 8:30 AM: Multiple carriers are providing reports of experiencing major fiber cuts in the Charleston area that are impacting network access in the southern part of the state. Crews are working at multiple locations to repair the breaks but will require large amounts of new fiber to be installed. Updates will be provided as they become available.
